MOMS Minutes

Date: 7-15-24
Attendance: Chris Colvin, Troy Lauffer, Chief Copeland, Chris Hice, Anna Garafolo, Mollie Wentworth

1) Meeting called to order at 5:03pm

2) Discussed the schedule for future meetings. Chris Colvin will plan for any future meetings to be on the third Monday at 5pm. This
would accommodate the Council schedule with the Finance Committee meeting now at 6pm followed by full Council at 7pm. 

3) Chief Copeland letter was discussed on proposed Main Street improvements. New items:

Chief Copeland is getting some quotes on replacing the pavers and also replacing the entire sidewalk so we can get an idea of future costs.
How the sidewalk replacement can be decorative was discussed.

Discussion on improvements to the electrical along Main Street in tandem with sidewalk updates. The electrical improvements should consider
helping the situation for the Saukraut Festival.

Discussed the future light pole replacement activities. Village funding is continuing to be collected. Discussion on the poles having a 
single arm for hanging and the other side for a flag. It was mentioned that with improvements to lighting that the number of light poles 
needed may be different and would need to be considered in future planning.

Discussed the tree boxes and having Chris Hice take the lead in identification of new trees plus their proper maintenance. The idea is to
reestablish trees along Main Street.

Discussed crosswalk improvements.

4) Anna Garafolo is still in conversation with the Township on the gazebo property needing attention.

5) Mollie Wentworth discussed her activities and getting fresh greens. 

6) Chris Colvin mentioned the Village is working on updating the Christmas decorations for the light poles and his family is planning on
doing the decorating.

7) Next meeting was scheduled for September 16th 5-6pm.
